What we do at Whaley Studios?

Jay Whaley and an expanding line-up of 'best in class' guest instructors, including Kate McKinnon, Michael David Sturlin, Andy Cooperman, Nancy Megan Corwin, Loren Damewood and others to be annouced shortly, some sourced from the Society of North American Goldsmiths (SNAG) Annual meeting in Houston, Texas, will be teaching all phases of jewelry and the metal arts trades.

Classes typically include creating designs by fabrication, and/or wax casting, metal clay, wireworking, or other unique skill sets specific to the instructor. For Jay Whaley classes, the use of hand and powered tools, torches and casting equipment is included. All metals to be silver or gold, but we are also equipped for platinum. All tools are provided, there will also be saw blades, silver and solders on hand for purchase. Students will be able to create their own designs and work at their own pace. Individuality is encouraged, and supported. We offer either classes of 8 to 10 students at $150.00 or private tutoring of 4 to 5 at $350, for a 9 week session. You may register and pay online, or contact Terrie Masters for additional information.
